I have had a large rhododendron for about 10 years, it is quite large and a couple of years ago it got badly sun damaged, iem, burnt leaves etc, however I have since cut it back (not entirely though) and it just keeps growing back the same? it looks in a sorry state at the moment but has beautiful pink flowers on it.....anyone got any ideas on how I can get it back to its former glory?

Rhododendrons, there are hundreds of 'em, like acid soil and shade and unfortunitely can look leggy and bare.
They will tolerate pruning and should be pruned after flowering.
So try puning off any dead wood, dig in lots of peat and feed with an ericacious liquid food.
Just persevere with it. It sounds like it can't get any worse so give it a go.
Good luck Chris
