Aldi`s have some very nice Dracaena trees for sale here in Bournemouth only 3.49 and about 4ft high. If you buy one remember to put a carrier bag over the top of them before leaving the shop to prevent them `chilling` and keep them in a warm sunny greenhouse or conservatory before acclimatising to the house. Mist daily and supply a moist atmosphere around it by placing on wet pebbles.

not much chance of them chilling during the summer, they are not that sensitive to the cold. Is it snowing in Bournemouth??
Question Author
No it`s not quite chilly enough for snow but not as warm as we`re used to in the south. The info was to just to let new plant lovers know why plants die soon after taking them from a protected enviroment into a colder atmospere. I hate to see beautiful looking plants leaving stores and garden centres exposed to the elements when a simple carrier bar or such placed over them til it`s home in the warm.
