You`ve chosen the right time to ask! From the middle of August through September stake uncut growing tips either into 6" holes in the ground or large deep pots & bury. They can be separated from the main plant next spring. You can also take leaf bud cuttings & put several in pots as for normal cuttings. They will need to overwinter in a greenhouse or cold frame. I`ve got a bumper harvest again this year & already scoffed about a pounds worth. The growing tip method works a treat, in fact left to themselves that`s what they do, but not necessarily where you want `em!
