I have got to repair a large area around a childrens play area. Does anyone know what would be the best HARD WEARING seed mix to use and when would be the best time to do this for fastest results. The area can be cordoned off temporarily. The result needs to be hard wearing because of the high amount of foot traffic especially in warm weather.

What you want is a mixture called AM9 which is a vey hard wearing grass for chilrens play area`s and September is an ideal time to prepare and sow it 2-3ozs per sq yd. For more types of seed Google `Hard wearin Grass Seed`
