Hello all. Im hoping to move a lavender bush to another part of my garden and put a flame of the forest in its place. Do i have to treat the soil before i do it . Thankyou

Dig up the lavender with a generous but movable root ball. Make sure the planting hole in the new position is slightly larger than the root ball, sprinkle some Hoof and Horn meal or Bonemeal into the hole then plonk in the Lavender etc., etc.,Ditto the Pieris.

Do it even if it's raining !!
Lavender prefers a poor soil.

Thankyou both for your replies nonomaybe and carlton23 Must admit ive not done it yet but hopefully will do it tomorrow.( if my mother was alive she would be saying do it today -tomorrow never comes ) but i will do it tomorrow Thankyou
