weed killer

i have a shingle drive and alot of weeds have grown mostly round the edges. i have pulled them up does anyone know of a cheap weedkiller i could use to stop them growing again. thanks for any replys

Try salt.
Sodium chlorate but be very careful it will kill everything it touches. Read directions carefully, wear gloves, wash out watering cans afterwards and take care with small children and pets after spraying. Good for paths, drives.

thank you all for your replys. with the salt do you just put it down neat?
Be careful using salt as it will creep with the moisture. I used to find Path clear a good remedy and I used to mix it up stronger than the instructions and it did the job.
