I have just planted some Pak Choi - chinese cabbage - it says this is a good time ot plant it on the packet - fingers crossed :-)
Any variety of spring cabbage can be sown now and can either be eaten as spring greens or left to form hearts next year.
My aunt grows 'Primo', a solid round headed one, and it is absolutely delicious....a light green one, if you like that type.Give it an extra handful of ammonia sulphate a week or two before harvesting, and you'll get a huge head!!!
Wheelers Imperial can be sown till mid-August for harvesting in April/mid May.
Forgot to say you could also buy Savoy cabbage as small plants now and plant out for Spring cutting.
ffs ^ lol
A friend gave me a load of seedlings which i've
grown on , so if you want some you are welcome ,
but there was no label so they will be a suprise in
Spring !!!
