Pear trees

I'd like to get a couple of pear trees. They'd be sited about 10 metres apart, so could either be self-fertile or complementary. I'm in the south west - apparently a problem - and have a south-east facing. sloping, garden. But I'm really tempted by fat, juicy, tasty pears! Any suggestions?
