My lawn is been torn up by an animal or crows. I do not have badgers but would a muntjac do so much damage. What ever it is has torn areas about 5 sq metres up.

Yes I live on the edge of the Thetford Forest with a million muntjac!

Doesn't sound like muntjac.'Ours' strip bark from trees but they don't hurt the lawn, not by hooves or by grazing and they don't excavate. They don't leave a mark on it.

We think it is crows and jackdaws!
Yes, I've seen the results of badgers digging up chafer grubs/garden chafers from the lawn - completely torn up.
Could be a Gopher!

Hope you dont have a golf course near you. :0(
Can't be a Gopher.....If five square metres are dug up...it's got to be a couple of Gophers.!
