Hi,

I have a flowering cherry tree in my back garden and today i have noticed it is covered (on the branches and the leaves) in white foamy blobs with like a brown tip to them.

I have tried looking this up online and cannot find anything.

Is it eggs of some description or is it a disease?

Any help please!!!!?

Thank you :)

No, i dont think its that. It looks very similar but its not quite as foamy spit looking, its more like foam filler type stuff. A bit polystyrene'ish.
Is it thick and sticky?
Is there a tiny green insect inside of it? if so it`s a Leaf Hopper Larvae
^ which is Cuckoo spit, Carlton.
(nice avatar, by the way)

Hi,

No green bug inside?

Its very thick and stringy, a bit like freshly chewed chewing gum.

I blasted it with my hose this evening hoping to get rid of it but its stuck fast!!??
