How do you know when radishes are fully grown and ready for harvesting?

The tops of the radish body will be visible and give a good idea of the size. Additionally, the green tops begin to grow rapidly and branch into additional leaves and, given just a few hours more in ideal condifitons, they will flower, at which time the radish will begin to rapidly deteriorate in quality... becoming woody and tasteless...

Dolnt expect them to be stonkers either, mine were only just about bigger than marbles, but still edible :-)
