Growing Potatoes in a Container

I posted a question on 13th May about growing potatoes in a container and got lots of helpful advice. I have just added to it but the addition did not appear in Latest Posts. Are you not allowed to add to questions after a certain length of time? Any way my question was this "My potatoes have been growing for about 8 weeks now and are just a huge mass of leaves about 2 feet high. There are buds but no flowers yet. Is slinkycat right in that I am going to get puny potatoes? Suppose there is nothing to be done :( " Sorry this is two questions in one post.

You won't know til later...be patient those leaves are feeding the tubers so you may have a pleasant surpise...my spuds in a dustbin are going for glory, three feet above the top of the dustbin and not even in bud yet....

Thanks rowanwitch - remember you talked about growing your potatoes in a dustbin when I posted in May. I feel much better since reading your answer - maybe I will get a good crop after all.
