It has a few leaves on it now. When will it be ready to pick.?

A while yet if you do not "force" it.

To force it cover it with a large pot or upturned dustbin. You will get earlier growth which will be very tender to eat. Beware not to eat the leaves as they are poisonous..

Thankyou all, the plant was put in last years but we didnt eat any so can we this year? or would this years class as firsy year.?
