It is an 'Arrow',, with a matching hob, never heard of the make, it was in the house when I came here.
I am not sure if the oven is working properly (as in temperature wise) It seems to be well done on top and uncooked in the middle when I make a sponge cake etc. I have made plenty of cakes in my time and have it on the middle shelf on temp of 180. Any ideas ?

As ovens vary considerably, I suggest you go and buy an oven thermometer and get true readings.

Sorry, I've been away from laptop. Glad you are now sorted, happy baking!

Depending on the type of oven, you may do well to experiment with the oven and move the thermometer from top to bottom and make a note of the temperatures at each level, and a note of what the oven dial is saying.

Thank you for all your help x
My daughter had the same problem. She discovered that it was a fan only oven. They seem to run approximately 20 degrees hotter than a coventional oven. Now, unless a recipe states a temperature for an fan oven, she lowers the temperature by 20 degrees.

Thanx will check that, I think it maybe a fan oven, not used it so much yet
