30 mins.
Depending on the size of the tank.
And the size of the bath.
.. and the temperature of the tank when switched on.
But about 30 mins...
How long was it, Sandy?

I turned all the radiators off and heated the water with the oil. It does it in a fair bit less than 30 minutes.
Aah.

I refer to my first answer.

Ummmm would have been right if it was stone cold then.
Does it not have a separate switch?
also depends on what temerature you like your bath :o)
Question Author
It does have a separate switch. I thought I'd try it, and then thought go with what you know.

Not warm. That would be decadence. Tepid does. :-)
on my central heating, I can heat the radiators and/or the water either together or seperately. Well, i can in theory though often when just the water is on some of the radiators are hot too :o/

I also have a seperate immersion switch for use if i don't want thew boiler on at all, but i've never used it.
....well sandy it's probably safer, you don't want to come over all peculiar in the hot water :o)
Annie, often the bathroom radiator heats with the hot water circuit - I don't know why.

To heat and dry the towels I guess
I emptied my hot water tank last night to have a bath, flipped the switch on the tank to heat it straight away, by the time I'd had a soak the water was hot enough to wash my hair, just over ½ hour later.
that'll be right then hopkirk - sure it is those ones - and the one in the hall with no thermostat
