Hi
Any ideas how much it would cost to fit a new bathroom. I would be supplying toilet sink bath taps tiles also put cupboard to wall. Tiling is approx 5sq metre
Oh Rhoda........... plenty of us on here would love to help, but it's almost impossible without seeing it for ourselves.
Any figure would be vague quesswork.
Labour only could be anything from £2000 upwards. Less for a decent handyman who's short of work.
I got three quotes from local bathroom fitters recommended by Which? subscribers in the 'Which? Local' website.
I had quotes ranging from approx £1,000 to about £2,000. I went with the cheapest one, but only after viewing a bathroom he recently completed.
Like you, I supplied toilet, sink, bath taps, tiles, etc. Overall, I was extremely happy with the finished bathroom. Although not a large bathroom, I had all walls tiled from floor to ceiling, and my fitter also laid a ceramic tiled floor.
Suppose a lot depends on which part of the country ou live in.
No1 son is just having his done. Bath, basin, toilet and shower all supplied, 15 m2 tiles at £20 m2, £300, taking out old bath etc., and putting in new one, £300, re plastering the walls and ceiling and half tiles, £600, new carpet, £100.
Total £1300, then of course there's dad's labour ... FREE!
Those are Lincolnshire prices, I bet in London you could easily treble that.
Hi
Thanks for your answers. It's not much tiling approx 5sqyre meters just round end of the bath and there is no flooring to be done. I am based in leicester
