Washing Machine Filter

How do I remove the big black screw to get to the filter as it is stuck when I turn it just a bit like something is jamming it

They often feel stuck but just need encouragement.

I stress I take no responsibility if it breaks though, but it's just my experience that when you get to the stage of no longer wanting to play "Mr, Nice Guy" and put some force behind it, it decides to turn after all.

I think the soap powder must get there and gum it up.
