I have a very old [? 25 years+ ] Neighbourhood Watch sticker on the inside of a window which I have tried all manner of methods to remove but it is stuck fast and probably baked on with the sun. I've tried soaking with water, WD40, lots of scraping, etc. but to no avail. Does anyone know of anything which will remove a plastic sticker please? I don't suppose today's stickers would stay on that long - they almost peel off as you put them on!

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I would try a spirit were I you. White spirit is cheap enough. It's the glue rather than the paper you need to dissolve.

Many thanks everyone. I'll give them all a go and look in Dyas to see what they've got. The sticker is made of plastic - not paper. I've used a scraper carefully because I don't want to scratch the glass. I'll have a go at the white spirit and hairdryer options - not together! I've managed to remove half of it but what's left seems to be set firm. Thanks again.
Warming it with a hair dryer and then using a Stanley blade will (surely) see you right.
here is a homemade recipe for goo gone.
