Problems With Downstairs Loo

First of all the water level has gone right down and now it keeps making gurgling noises and big bubbles of water burst on the surface. I keep thinking some creature is going to pop up out the loo. Anyone know what is happening?

blocked drain would be the obvious suggestion. I suppose there could be a crocodile caught in there somewhere...

I said a crocodile but my OH insists it's fracking.

We did have a blocked pipe on Sunday and a guy came out and cleared it. Then he put light down the pipe and said there was still a bit of silt on the sides of the pipe. Guess we'll have to get him back. I'm in my little study next door to the loo and I can hear it still gurgling away. It's unnerving!

Its sounds like its blocked again, best call him this morning. You cannot have blocked it since he last came, ask him to check it again.

Yes, that's what we'll have to do. It's so weird seeing these big bubbles bursting on the surface of the water and they're so noisy. You'd swear there was 'something' down there!

Do you live in New York? It is believed they have crocodiles in the sewers.

designate the loo men-only until you get it sorted - at least they can see what's coming up to get them

Problem sorted. I was out when the man came but apparently when they lifted the manhole cover, the water was up to the top and I think there was a lot of loose silt from when they cleared the pipe on Sunday and this was causing a blockage.
