Well now, it's like a wet weekend in Wigan out there. Hope Boaty isn't having a wash-out too down in Torquay and I'll bet Tiggy is all wrapped up in hibernation now.

Wasn't planning on getting up this early but found a very soggy cat was plainly not happy at this morning's weather so came to tell me all about it :-)

Off to the car boot in a bit (in waterproofs) then to parents to acquire a bacon butty, coffee and have a good natter. Back home after to continue decorating (doors waxed, wallpaper stripped, just the decision on dark grey, or darker grey now lol)

Hope you are all well this morning - What do you have planned for today?
xx

Morning Skipper (of the good boat Early Birds)
Hope today is plain sailing for you.
Spent most of today in the garden, winter has passed, needed to get things done before summer makes me idle, as I'm sure it will. Lots of pruning and thinning out of certain plants, thank goodness for modern technology.
Time to kick back and relax now.
Are you buying or selling at the car boot?
Question Author
Morning 1ozzy :-) Thought everyone was still in bed for a minute. Buying at the booty - we sell at about 2 per year when we need to get rid of stuff, but love to have a wander round - it's relaxing and we meet some great characters over the years there. Am looking out for small 'trinket' antiques today for xmas presents.
Sounds like a plan - are you a gardener? If so what type of plants do you have in yours? xx
I am not usually around at this time of day but there was a 'starving' cat and ..... they make excellent alarm clocks.

The two moggies are now in bed and I am listening to the tune I have posted then I am off back to bed.

I hope that everyone has a good day - I hope to sleep until lunch time (or until the moggies force me to get up).

Morning Wolf xx Aren't felines good at keeping us up to date with their feeding regime? Like the link - they don't make them like that anymore :-)
Hope you have a lovely sleep xx night, night
Morning peas xx ozzy and wolf xx

Wet and windy here and it's the London to Brighton veteran car run today. It'll be a soggy arrival for them when they get here. I love to watch it though and will take a wander down the seafront to watch them get here.

Peas, enjoy your car boot

Ah, brilliant Jan - are you taking a camera? Can you see them coming in from a nice warm cafe with a view? (morning :-) xx)
Morning to you all. Nothing exciting here, just a drive to Carlisle to deliver stuff.
Then a quarter pounder with cheese meal. :-)
Morning Wolf, hope your plan comes to fruition.

Not really a gardener Peas. We bought this place 14 years ago, it had been rented for the previous 20 odd years, run down and unloved. We have planted mainly Aussie native shrubs that have interesting flowers and handle drought and neglect and about 20 deciduous trees, mainly Claret Ash. Shade during summer, sunlight throughout winter.
Doesn't look anything like Mintys' avatar, worst of luck;-)
Hi Jan & Douglas, hope you both enjoy the day.
Don't really envy the meal you have planned Doug ;-)
Hi dougie xx

Morning Douglas :o) That's the best kind of Sunday dinner!

1ozzy (quickly googles claret ash.... wow, will have to look out for that one, lovely) I know what you mean, minty's garden looks pristine and set out nicley too. Mines a bit of a jungle but I like to try out bit architectural plants such as gunnera and echium pininata's etc. It must've taken you a lot of hard graft to nurse yours back to health again, any veg going in this summer?
Peas, there are cafes/bars a'plenty but I'll have my own flask with mulled wine in it. Maybe I'll do the Winter Pimms instead this year. Whatever... I plan to be wet both inside and outside. VERY heavy rain is forecast. Oh joy
Question Author
chuckle, Jan you make me laugh - great plan, I expect you'll be on the local news later 'Kind hearted woman ensures that the police officers controlling crowds at the 'London-Brighton veteran car' event have a cup of tea from her thermos flask.
The Chief Superintendant couldn't understand why his staff all had fits of giggles 'Must've been something in the water' he said.
Hope you have fun even in the wet x
morning all. wet in s.wales. if I had ozzie's garden, I'd concrete over it. no hiding place for spiders.
Don't do the vegie garden bit Peas, water is scarce here.
Grow Watermelons, Rock melons and Honeydew melons occasionally. They turn out beautifully but are rather water intensive. Keep a herb garden going year round though.
Ha ha Svejk, you'd need a fair bit of concrete, besides I like spiders, they eat flies and mozzies.

How's that best jumper of yours going?
Hi svejk xx How are you my dear?
Morning Peas & everyone else!
Oh Peas ... sounds like a perfect day ... apart from the decorating ;0)
bout youse

piddled it down big style here yesterday - dry at the mo - and mild enuff too
Question Author
