We seem to have a plague of clothes moths at the moment.
I have bought lots of moth repellent but the pesky blighter keep appearing. I have just opened my cold oven door and there was one in there!

Any tips on getting rid, over and above bashing them with a piece of soggy paper towel each time I see one?

Moth balls??
I bought a couple of moth repellents from Amazon. They worked very well.
Be like us po' folks and stick with polyester.
I’ve had moths in my bread bin, seems wool isn’t their only delicacy.
I have a colony of moths in my wallet...
I've used zensect , ever since I had a major invasion years ago. They seem to work quite well.

Thank you all. I'll have a look at the possibilities.

Blinkin' things are a flippin' nuisance.
We have had a real problem this year with these moths - never before. I don’t Like killing things but I must admit that I whack any that I see. They have eaten a big chunk out of a wool rug :-(
Is it the same ones Tilly? - they are little blighters

It must be a good year for moths, Toorak. Apparently it has also been a good year for butterflies. :-)
We have had loads of butterflies this summer (including few red admirals in the garden this evening) but this is a first for clothes moths. We have bought various sprays and whack any we come across. An ongoing battle I think...
lots of my nice merino woollens from Uniqlo have suddenly got holes. I'm going to have to switch to cotton or synthetics. It is very annoying. We've stuck some treated paper on the wardrobe walls, whcih is supposed to last for several months, so I'll see how it works. Good luck.
Interesting Jno - sounds like a more general issue? I need to re- check my woollens
Thank you - that’s helpful
it's a recent thing, toorak, I've had some of these jumpers and cardies for years with no trouble. I don't know if it's climate change or Brexit or what, but people are starting to talk about it and exchange remedies.
Moths in your bread in. Check your rice, flour and biscuits and cereals etc. Different moths that like grains etc
I put lavender oil on fabric and put it in the wardrobe. Works a treat.
