I have a mirror that has a gold frame, i want to change the colour of the frame to a bronze/brown effect. Is there anyway I can do this? Would gilt work? if so, where would I get it from? thanks.
It's too bad, Katie that you've received no answers, since this could be a simple job. Part of the reason for a dearth of responses is probably because of an equal dearth of information in your question. Is the frame metal or wood? Is it plain or decorated or carved? In any case just a little more information will bring an appropriate answer, I'm sure... best of luck!
don't be so arsey, a simple answer would of done, but maybe you have too much time on your hands since you reply to questions which you obviously don't know the answer too.
I brought a gold MDF framed mirror and found some bronze paint in Focus DIY that came in a small pot- they also do a spray version and its called Plasti kote which claim to can be used on a variety of materials.
Hi Katie, I have a gold/gilt picture frame that fell off the wall and just used a wood/metal gold paint and painted it and it came up fab. All you need to do is buy a wood/metal paint of your colour and paint it. Good luck.
