Curtain accessories...

I have some very pale curtains and want to avoid touching them as much as possible. I notice that in many hotels there are "short rods" attached to the end of the curtains enabling them to be drawn by pulling the rods as opposed to handling the curtains. What are these rods called? better still where could I obtain some from?
