can anyone please tell me
has this ever happened to you,my son had come out of the shower,and pulled the pull cord to turn it off,when doing this he has pulled it out completely,is this hard to fix,or am i looking at getting in an electrician,any advice would be great thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.You will need to have the switch replaced if there is no sign of the pull cord, you could do it yourself, but be very carefull the terminals must be very secure and make sure the wires go in the correct terminals, and of course make sure the mains are turned off first, if in any doubt consult local sparkie, good luck, Ray
That seems quite expensive, as the switch is only about �10, you may be able to pull enough of the cord to put it in the on position, but I would reccomend that the switch is replaced because if something does go wrong with the shower you need to be able to isolate the supply quickly, I would ring another sparkie, if you go onto the" Napit" site you can search for a local electrician, or the eca or nic sites may also have this facility, I would have thought about �50, was a bit fairer, but obviously depends on travelling etc, good luck, Ray
