How can I get a sofa through my doorway
Wanting to buy a leather sofa and have noticed that they are quite a bit bigger in depth than my door opening?
How does anyone get these in their house?

The underneath covering has a purpose fitted zip so that one can get at the nuts inside in order to undo them.
Very clever idea and very practical.
The idea being that one can stand them upright on their ends (because they are now lower than the door frame height). It is this height that usually causes the problems.
Without the ends the effective depth is reduced sufficiently to make them manoeuverable around the door frame.
However all that said it doesn't help to have settees that are so deep that one can't sit back without having to use 3 cushions for support.
There are also specially made sizes designed for smaller living areas. Something like a mobile home springs to mind.

We have a three and two seater from Dfs. Ours are huge and a hallway was to narrow to fit them in.. But when DFS deliverd the delivery men took them apart and then fitted them up in my living room. Since then i moved them to another room and I have a mans number from DFS who took them apart and moved and fixed them up in another room for about 90. DFS were very helpful
