Hi, I have accidentally squirted olive oil up my kitchen wall (don't ask!) when I have tried to paint over the mark the oil stain comes through.
I have rubbed talc over the mark and re-painted it as suggested by one of my friends - but it still comes through - any suggestions?
Thank you.

paint over it with a light coat of undercoat , maybe even two, before you use the topcoat. this usually gets rid of reappearing stains. (we've done this and it really does work, it was a tip given to us by a decorator)
I don't know if they sell "Kilz" where you are, but if you can find it, it works. It will cover anything. I might take two coats. It's found in paint stores.
