I cooked a stirfry in an old wok (which was abit rusty on the bottom) served it and put the still hot pan on the work top.

Now i have a horrible mark on the worktop which i can't get rid of. How can i get rid of it? My worktop is that fake plastic wood stuff you get.

Thanks everyone

Hi sunch -
I think it's had it! Cover with a worktop saver/ chopping board as sold in Argos - www.argos.co.uk
You have laminate and you may of burned it with the heat. Its either cover over or replace. Also if its joined to another worktop using a propper joint then chances are its glued and you wont break them easily.
