kitchen manufacturers/fitters

Surfing the web for a company to fit kitchens I came across: Simon Taylor (simon-taylor.co.uk) and Broadway (midlandkitchendesign.co.uk)
they have the same appearance website, and lot of their designs are identical.
I called both, they claim not to know of the other.
What is the truth of the matter?
Are they related, franchised, subsidiaries of each other or what? they both claim to manufacture units themselves???!!! how true is it???
thank you for any replies.

I suspect the truth is nothing more complicated than the same web design study designed the sites (can't check this as the first one doesn't tell you, the 2nd one is designed by by Sure systems).
Getting down to brass-tacks, these are project management companies - they do not manufacture anything. I'm prepared to stake 50 on it. It is highly likely that they buy the kitchen and bedroom carcases from the same sources. They then combine these with doors (that may indeed be unique to them - to their design, if you like - though they may come from the bulk manufacturing sheds) with worktops that they can get from almost anywhere), with lighting and the rest of the paraphernalia that goes with an installed project service. Plus the important fitting labour - which makes the difference between a decent job and a useless one.
What are you worried about? Use competition to get keen prices if they both produce something similar that you like.
More important to ask them if they employ their own fitting labour than anything else. That way they can keep control of the quality appearance of the end job.
