Your floor is 137.5 square feet.

If your tiles are 1.5 feet square - thats 2.25 square feet each, you need at least 62 of them.
If you have 1/4" grout you will get 8.2 tiles along the 12ft 6 length and 7.2 along the other side.

So 9 x 8 = 72 presuming that the room is completely square and without any intrusions that you need to work around.

You should allow for a number of extras fror breakages, mistakes in cutting etc.

Are they still doing tiles in inches??
Its a pity you did not remember your maths lessons when you were at school. Simple maths and you had to ask on here, you are a lazy so and so. I think that anybody that answers these questions only do so because they like to see their names on web sites.
