I need advice on how to safely remove studs securing the seatpads on my dining room chairs.
I am having difficulty removing them. (My apologies for mistakes in my earlier question, preview button would be welcomed :0])

I take it these are like an enormous press-stud? - in two parts, one attached to the base of the chair-seat, the other on fabric tabs?
If so, try gently putting a flat-bladed screwdriver under the rim of the upper part and lever gently to prise the two parts apart. The key is to avoid putting pressure on the fabric tabs, which may tear.
