Is there a good vacuum cleaner for picking up dog-hairs,please.

Well I have had to buy a new one as my other one was a load of rubbish. I have two big rough collies ( Lassie ) dogs and there hair is terrible. But have tried dyson again andit is brilliant. it was £149. DC14. Infact I have just cleaned my carpet and did it in half the time as there was no clumps of fur to keep picking up because hoovering it before had picked up all the hairs and fur.
