We have a jacuzzie/spa bath fitted in our home and live in a semi-detached house. The noise of the pump is not overly noisy but obviously there is 'vibration/working' noise. Without too much alteration, is there a way to muffle the sound without causing any danger of overheating/fire to the pump?

It should be mounted off of a wooden floor, for a start. Insulate the mounting with some foam rubber sheet.
The pump tails should all (if hot and cold pump, will be 4) be flexible stainless-covered hoses (like the MIRA type)
