Central heating problem
I have just had fitted thermostatic radiator valves and since then I get a noise occassionally which sounds like a pnuematic drill throughout the house. I assume it is something to do with the valves. How do I cure this

You are getting water hammer ... may be caused by a valve going onto it's seat when closing off. Can you find and fix any pipes that are clanking together?
Check these first before you do anything else..

Call the plumber back and get him to sort it out. We had this and narrowed it down to valves on specific radiators. Put up with it for 2 yrs as that plumber had gone out of business. In the end got another plumber and he changed the valves and we have peace at last! Cost a bit but worth it. Good luck.
