Brand new home
If you are buying a new build from a large building company is it possible to negotiate on the price or is the asking price what you are expected to pay?
Thank you

Developers are well-used to people who would love to move but haven't sold their own home. If you are free of it, you are in a strong negotiating position but expect them to be firm on setting a relatively short date by which you agree to exchange contracts, else no special deal.
If it is one of the big four then they are all open to negotiation.
If they are absolutly not able to budge on price (they generaly are thought) then get fixtures and fittings and carpets etc included. In theory you could get £10k worth of fixtures and legal fees thrown in :)
My oh works for one of the big four and his staff discount is less than the public can negotiate in ten minutes....
