I have written all the facts about my property in detail, so that when my house passes into the hands of my children, they will be able to attract buyers and get a good price.
I have described the rooms, the garden, the cost of upkeep, location of shops and the best schools, proximity to the golf course and public transport facilities.
You will need to keep it up to date of course as you could be around for many years.
One thing that i must do is keep a check list and guidance notes of where all the key bits of information are regarding the household finances etc- including details of all files on my computer/back up drive and associated passwords
people to whom schools and golf courses matter will already know the proximity.
People will be able to see the rooms, without you having to describe them - they will come round and see.
People will be able to see the garden for themselves.
The cost of upkeep is meaningless - the likelihood that someone will use exactly the same amount of energy as you is infinitesimally small.
