Trenching Cost

i need to have a 50 metre 18 inch deep trench dug across ordinary ground has any body got any idea how much this might cost before i approach any ground work company thanks

For an armoured cable?

Impossible to say from here, Carlyon. Too many questions... access etc.

All you need is someone with a small swing shovel. The type that has tracks that can be retracted to allow it through a standard gateway. They usually come on a trailer.

Should only be a couple of hours work plus travelling. Have a look around locally and someone will take a look and give you a price.

Usually around £25 per hour for digger with operator.
