This article is quite interesting, and towards the end there is a handy calculator which lets you know how many properties sold for over £1m in your area.
Apparently in my area there were 32 homes over £1m sold since 2007, with the most expensive selling for £2,400,000. Not mine by a long chalk I might add.
In Cheshire East there were 701 homes over £1m sold since 2007, with the most expensive sold for £5,630,000.
Quite surprised it's so low as the area includes Prestbury, Alderley Edge and Wilmslow, the go-to area for the prima donnas of football in this area. (Ours is not in that bracket though)
1200.. doesn't surprise me, I could probably get a million for our little ground floor flat, but that's greater London for you. We paid a tenth of that 30 years ago, which gives you some idea of how haywire house prices have gone.
Didn't really need to check but none were sold in Burnley-By-The-Canal for that magical figure. £900K was the highest. Think they go for about £30K+ on my street.
8 in Conwy with the most expensive @£1.49million. Thought that there would be more to be honest. Be nice to know exactly the area. Strangely when I launch the interactive app. it says insufficient data and postulates only 3 sold. Some magnificent gaffs around the West of the Great Orme and up the Conwy Valley.
5039 with a top of £14,000,000. I'm quite surprised about my part of Devon though - 40 with a top of £5.2 mil. Prices have gone up a lot and property is moving quickly
