last weekend a mobile phone mast was erected behind my property .with no formal warning,some local residents have started a petition,and stated to me that it will decrease the value of my house by 10%,is there anything we can do? i have lived here for 47 years and it is an eyesore to all concerned; i would be much obliged for any advice.thank you.

These things require Planning Permission. Are you sure no-one close to it got a letter advising them of the proposal, before it went up?

yes .none of my neighbours have recieved anything; the mast is erected on the other side of a railway track.on industrial land' but still approx- 15 to 20 metres away from the nearest property..

update ,have recieved a letter from house of commons re- the petition. and our local mp is appalled and is writing to railtrack to try to get the mast moved, live in hope.

final update, the offending article was removed today, thank you railtrack for being so sensable
