Tennants' rights
I rent a property and recently my agent gave up trading and I have been passed to another agent. My new agent sent a gas specialist to give the gas appliances a clean bill of health.( safety ). However the boiler has been condemned as the gas man said it was leaking water ( I think ) therefore not working properly. Now he has toddled off leaving me with no hot water , for all my cleaning needs. I also suffer from a condition which gives abdominal pain and one way I can relax is to soak in a hot bath. How long is a reasonable time to wait for this to be resolved? He hinted at a week before I could expect him to come back and replace the boiler, would it be unreasonable to ask for another company to become involved to get the job done quicker ? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Is that how long it would take for a new boiler to arrive? I think if you were on a plan with say british gas they would fix it straight away. Has your landlord signed the property up for anything like that? A week is a long time, IMHO...
