I have recently purchased a house with my mother for 250,000.00. My mortgage on the house is for 162,000.00 and she has paid 88,00.00 cash. Is it possible for her name to put on the deeds although the mortgage is only in my name? If not is there something else that we can do instead to confirm that she did pay the cash payment towards the house?

You could get a deed of trust drawn up which says what is to happen to the sale proceeds if the property is sold once the mortgage and sale costs are dealt with.

You could also put a charge or a restriction on in her favour.
