Work Reference for Estate Agent
I need to get a work reference from my boss for an etate agent just to prove i work
Iv been told to type it up myself (!) I dont know what to put in the letter.
Iv put that im working and how long iv been employed for, is there anything else i could put?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Do you mean that you need some sort of confirmation from your employer that you have a job, presumably in order for the estate agent to arrange a mortgage or rent a flat? If so, then just a simple statement confirming that you are employed as *your job title* and that you have been working there for *whatever number of years*. If it's for a mortgage, then the building society/bank will need to see payslips in due course, so you shouldn't need to state your salary at this stage.

I just worte a quick letter and got my boss to sign it saying where I worked, how long worked there and title.
it is just a copy to put on their file to show due diligence.
it wouldn't be very good if they were renting somewhere to you and you didn't even have a job!
if however you are buying, then it is more complex and need to sort with mortgage broker. The estate agent do not need proof that you work, this is the mortgages duty to check.
