Mortgage advice...

My boyfriend and I are going to be buying our first house together later on this year, now he knows all about mortgage rates etc but I havent got a clue and would like a little bit of advice as to what are the best companies to go with and/or what are the kind of rates I will need to be looking for so we dont get toooootally ripped off! Yeah I could easily ask him but i thought id do a little bit of revision too but its all confusing me a bit! lol! many thanks!
