If you own a Visitor Parking space in your road, do you have any legal rights to stop anyone else parking there?
In our Cul-de-sac we all have allocated parking spaces which appear as our land on our title deeds. We have also been allocated several Visitor parking spaces each which also appear within our boundaries on our title deeds but are marked clearly on the plans as VP. We have all lived here for over 10 years without any problems, there is plenty of parking and we have never had any issues with people claiming ownership. A couple of months ago a new couple moved in. Their house is allocated 2 parking spaces and 3 visitor parking spaces. They have now started telling us all that we may not park in the visitor parking spaces that appear on their deeds as they own them and no-one else has the right to park there. We have got a copy of their title plan but theirs is not nearly as detailed as ours and the visitor parking is not marked on it the way it is marked on ours. Do they actually have any legal right to force people not to use the visitor parking spaces?
