Hi
I would be grateful for some help. My younger sister lives in a housing association property. When she moved in the association had failed to provide a safe environment for her & her children. There were wires hanging out if the wall etc etc. This has all be sorted now.

She currently has a bath tub that has an earth wire connected to the bottom (to prevent electric shocks) I am unsure if this means the tub is metal or Tin?

My question is, should the property have a tub of this style-meaning is there a law were tubs now should be Fibreglass or of something else that prevents the need for the EARTH wire?

And lastly, there is currently work being done in her bathroom which involved removing the bath panel to lay a floor. The panel was damage so now she has been left without a panel for what could be a week or more.......surely this is dangerous-with the earth wire so easily accessible???

Thank you for reading.

Thanks eddie51. The bath is approx 30yrs old though? This defiantly regulated & safe? I know nothing you see & I'm worried for my sister & nieces.

Is it ok that the bath panel be left off exposing the wire though? Thank u.x
Mine was like that for a long time until I got a new bath panel, I wouldn't worry about that.
