Renting out my double garage

Hi guys,

Could anyone tell me how I can go about finding out the price for renting out my rear double garage?

A friends dad has a car he wants to leave in a garage for a few months but I have no idea how much to charge. It is currently full of junk.

Go to a local estate agent and tell them you are thinking about renting out your garage.
Ask them what rental income can you expect for a double garage... you dont have to get involved with the agent.
Ask yourself if storing the junk is worth more than a regular bit of cash income.
Where I live you would expect to pay £160 a month for a double.. (South East)

Check with your planning department as well as they may take a dim view of your garage no longer being in ancillary use to your dwelling.

Maybe you should also look into who's insurance covers the garage contents?
