Resurfacing a cast iron bath

Has anyone used a home kit to re-surface their bath.....if so will you let me know the outcome mine needs some serious treatment.  I so want that shine back that its lost. Is it costly to do?

I guess it rather depends on what's costly to you and what you're prepared to live with.

Obviously enamelling involves heating up the bath to high temperatures and you're not going to get the same finish with a paint on kit.

Check out these people: http://www.ive.org.uk I think re-enameling a bath costs �200-400 plus an awful lot of first class stamps :c)
