Any Help on Plant Identification

My sister has been asked by a friend of hers to identify the attached photo. It si apparently in France in the Vendee.

She thinks it is an orchid........

Any views from you professional gardeners out there or orchid growers. The palnt next to it on the right is appartently a Lesser Celadine.....

I can't see it very clearly and magnification loses quality. Could it be a type of gentian?

thanks prudie I will ask my sis who is out in her garden at the moment.....sorry can't do much to the pic as it was already incorporated into an e-mail that he received from her mate, and not a jpg..

it appears to be surrounded by ivy.
