How do you call a bush covered with bright yellow flowers to be seen around Easter (now)?

I know how to call it in Polish, but cannot find an English equivalent.

You beat me to it Dom - our Forsythia's are in fall bloom & really brighten up the garden on a rainy dreary day.

My saxifraga is showing some flowerheads and the Kerria Japonica is also in full bloom (easter rose, yellow flowers). But have decided to get rid of some woody bushes that have overgrown (escalonia and hebes), so waiting for sunny days to dig them out. Hard work that is.

Yes I expect this is forsythia but I have a spring flowering shru with yellow button like flowers in full bloom. Its name is jews mallow but commomly known as baychelors buttons due to many years ago young men would wear it as a buttonhole to advertise the fact that they wre single and looking for a young lady to court. Unfortunately some unscrupulous married men also would try their luck too.  Shame on them...Spinner
