Gas Cooker Problem

I have a Cannon Canterbury Gas Cooker the oven will light but the flames will no longer go high enough to cook anything? Any ideas what this problem could be ?

That happened to my mother's gas cooker(a different make to yours)and it turned out that the tiny flame holes had become blocked.The manual suggested that they could be unblocked by using a pointed match or a skewer,with the oven off.I used a skewer,and it worked immeadiately!
We have the same problem and im still looking into it so will watch with interest :-) My thinking is that it is one of the safety devices that are cutting the flow of gas. Not quite worked it out yet though.
