Is Ronseal Fencelife okay for a bench?
2 Answers
I bought a summer seat/picnic bench combi which came flatpack and I'm now putting it together. It is pine coloured I think, a little bit yellow. I am planning to give it a Red Cedar colour to match our fence and I was just wondering would it be okay to use the same stuff, Ronseal, as I use on the fence? On the tub of Ronseal it makes no mention of benches, just fences and sheds. My main worry would be that it would perhaps rub off and stain people's clothes(if we ever get another day of sun).
Also it says on the Ronseal that it is for rough cut timber and the bench is quite smooth but if I thought it wouldn't stain clothes I would probably try it on the smooth wood. Does anyone know whether or not I can use it or is there something else that would be more suited to a bench?
Thanks.
